Tom,
1. I went to MOC, The only blue cable was Belden #9463, Imai said it
was used as the Data highway but the number is different than you wrote
me. only 2 pieces, 1 @ 25 foot and 1 @ 45 foot long. It is very light,
can you bring in your bag?
2. Yellow cable, there was an unlimited supply of 18/3 and 16/2 so I
brought some of both but no 18/2 or 18/4 which you had requested.
3. Belden cable, none marked 9842, but lots of 8770 and 8760 and 8262
and 8103, also a lot of MTS style control cable. So I have some of
each at NTT.
4. Question for the day is, why so many types of cable? It sure gets
us non-electrical types confused. Wouldn't it be better to standardize
on just a few types?
5. Re the blue cable, why can't we just use MTS control cable, that
also is low noise? Just don't use the extra wires.
See you soon in Mitaka. The weather has been about 10 above, nice for
working.
Regards- Omar
